Blackjack The Blackjack class begins with the rules and object of the game, the student is then advanced to equipment and dealer and player positions. The proper handling of cheques and the proper distribution of the cards, as they pertain to the game of blackjack, are given considerable attention. Through hands-on training the student will master the skill of dealing from a single deck, double deck and delivery from a shoe. Multi-hand procedures, splitting pairs, doubling down, black jack and insurance are also taught in detail. Instruction also covers protection of the game, dealer relief and job interview and audition techniques. 60 hours (6 hours per week @ 10 weeks) Class times: 8-11am, noon-3pm, 6-9pm Start Dates:3/4/08 to 5/8/08, 5/13/0i8 to 7/17/08, 7/22/08 to 9/25/08, 9/30/08 to 12/9/08 Craps This class starts with a description of the terminology, rules of the game, color and stock value of cheques, changing color and cutting and picking of cheques in the game. Extensive hands-on training is provided in primary and advanced betting, take and pay procedures, totaling and converting payoffs, stick handling and calls. The student is then advanced to training in the proposition bets, place bets, come bets, buy bets, odds and multiple odds. Various table limits, security of the game, casino variations, job interview and audition procedures are also covered in this class. 120hours (8 hours per week @ 15 weeks) Class times: 9am - 1pm and 5-9pm. Start Dates: 3/10/08 - 7/21/08, 7/28/08 - 11/10/08 , 11/17/08 - 2/25/09 Poker The poker class covers the special and unique requirements of dealing poker as it is played in Nevada. Terminology, shuffling the deck, boxing, pitch and place cards, cutting gambling cheques and changing currency, as they pertain to the game of poker, are covered in considerable detail. 100 hours (8 hours per week @ 12.5 weeks) Class times: 9am to 1 pm , or 5-9 pm. Start Dates:3/3/08 to 6/2/08, 6/9/08 to 9/4/08, 9/8/08 to 12/1/08, 12/8/08 - 3/9/09 Roulette The roulette class begins with the rules and object of the game and then advances to the handling of cheques, changing currency and the handling of equipment. Take and pay procedures, keys for payoffs, markers, call bets, cash plays, fills and credits are covered through comprehensive hands-on training. Table limits, casino variations, protection of the game, job interview and audition procedures are also covered. 80 hours (7 hours per week @ 11.5 weeks) Class times: 10am to 1:30 pm. & 5:30 to 9 pm. Start Dates: 3/4/08 to 6/3/08 , 6/10/08 to 9/2/08. Caribbean Stud, Let-It-Ride, Mini-Baccarat, Pai-Gow Poker and additional carnival games are are available upon request.
